Severe storms, tornado threat target Northeast Ohio Saturday before frost, freeze risk arrives

The National Weather Service has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for Northeast Ohio, warning of strong to severe thunderstorms, damaging winds, large hail, and the possibility of a tornado. The forecast predicts temperatures will rise to near 73 degrees by late morning before falling to around 55 degrees by evening as a cold front moves through. The weather is expected to shift west later in the day, with rain and storm chances expected to continue throughout the day. However, temperatures will drop significantly behind the system, leading to widespread frost and potentially a potential freeze.
