Pro-Iran hackers claim cyberattack on major US medical device maker

A cyberattack claimed by pro-Iran hackers has caused a global network disruption to major US medical device maker, Stryker. The company, which makes hospital equipment and services over 150 million patients, reported no immediate impacts on its provision of medical equipment to US hospitals. The hacker group claimed responsibility for the attack claimed it was retaliation for a missile strike on an elementary school in Iran, which Iranian state media claimed killed at least 168 children. The cyberattack appears to be one of the first notable pro Iranian-linked hacks against US infrastructure since the US and Israel began bombing Iran last month. Federal agencies are monitoring the hack for potential impacts on patient care.
