Belgian golfer Thomas Pieters has expressed a desire to retire before returning to the PGA Tour if LIV Golf folds, stating he was ready to retire if the league's future was uncertain. This comes after the Saudi Public Investment Fund withdrew its financial support of the league after this season, forcing LIV leadership to scramble for funding. Pieters, who has been with LIV since signing with the league in 2023, said he was never interested in returning to PGA tours and that he never wanted to do so. He also expressed a preference for playing on the European Tour or the DP World Tour.
