Walmart invests in new milk plant to grow US supply chain

Walmart has opened its third milk processing facility in the US, investing over $350 million into its perishables supply chain. The facility in Robinson, Texas, will process and bottle milk for its Great Value and Sam's Club Member's Mark private label brands and will create over 400 new jobs. The move comes as Walmart faces increasing competition from competitors like Kroger. The company also plans to build five new warehouses equipped with automation technology to handle temperature-sensitive products.
