Japanese researcher at the University of Wisconsin, Makoto Kuroda, has been arrested and indicted for allegedly injecting a colleague's water bottle with toxic chemicals. The attack was allegedly motivated by workplace resentment over his colleague's promotion. Kuroda used artificial intelligence to calculate the dosage and then infused the toxic substance into the victim's drink. The victim, who had worked alongside Kuroda for five years, escaped without injury. Kuroada was taken into custody on April 10 and has since been formally indicted.
