Cambodia is importing more fuel from Singapore and Malaysia to cover shortfalls from Vietnam and China due to export restrictions. This comes as the U.S.-Israeli war on Iran intensifies global fuel availability. A third of the country's 6,300 petrol stations have shut due to concerns about stockpiling. Thailand banned exporting of fuel in 2025 due to an armed conflict with Cambodia, and has not resumed supplies since.
