70 years later: Colorado man shares inside story of being Disneyland’s first VIP host

Bob D'Arcy, a 93-year-old Colorado man, was the first guest relations manager at Disneyland when it opened 70 years ago. His first job was delivering blueprints to contractors in Walt Disney's own Jeep. He was also the first to welcome guests through the park's gates on opening day. D’Arcy's experiences are being published in his memoir, "Walk in the Park, Reflections from Disneyland's First Host."
