Samsung sees AI driving strong chip demand in 2026, executive says

Samsung Electronics (005930.KS) is expecting strong demand for chips this year, driven by the global artificial intelligence wave, but rising memory chip prices could impact computer and mobile shipments. The company's vice-chair and co-CEO, Jun Young-hyun, made the comments at the company's annual meeting in Suwon, South Korea.
