A large area of high pressure overshadows will continue to dominate the weather forecast, with temperatures expected to reach the 80s along the coast and 90s inland. The fire weather threat will remain elevated due to the dry ground, low humidity, and a strong breeze. A front expected to move across the area late Sunday through Monday but the rain will not fall, leading to an increase in fire threat. The area remains in an extreme drought, with an exceptional drought classification being expanded to include more of the area.
