Lamar J. Harris’El, a 23-year-old man from Kansas City, has been charged with second-degree murder and armed criminal action following the fatal shooting of Jose Poole in a parking lot near 39th and Baltimore Ave. The incident occurred around 2:10 a.m. on Saturday. Police responded to the scene with Poole unresponsive with multiple gunshot wounds to his head. Harris'El allegedly pulled a gun from his waistband and fired multiple times directly at Poole's face, before running from the scene. The rapid rate of fire was consistent with an automatic or modified weapon.
