Former Michigan football coach, Chris Partridge, has filed a lawsuit alleging that the school and its leadership were aware of the sign-stealing scandal and attempted to prevent it being discovered. Partridge alleges that former Michigan president Santa Ono and athletic director Warde Manuel discovered evidence on Matthew Weiss' hard drive and never turned it over to the NCAA or the school’s board of regents. Weiss was later charged with multiple crimes, including 14 counts of unauthorized access to computers and 10 counts of aggravated identity theft. The scandal led to a three-game suspension for then-head coach Jim Harbaugh and a four-year probation period for the football program.
