Nevada Secretary of State Francisco Aguilar's office accidentally released personal information about Republican Adriana Guzmán Fralick, a candidate for attorney general, after she criticizes Aguilar for attending a Supreme Court argument on whether states could accept ballots received after Election Day. This practice has led to several Republicans leading their races on Election Day but losing after all the ballots were tallied days later. The personal information was posted online, but it is not supposed to be publicly disclosed. Aguilar admitted that his office included information that should have been redacted from a candidate’s e-filing packet on our public website. The breach was removed and he called GuzMán Fratalick to apologize. The incident highlights the need for greater election security in Nevada.
