Pi rallies more than 30% after Kraken announces listing

The world's largest cryptocurrency company, Pi Network, saw a surge in its value after a news that it would be listed by the company's largest, Kraken. The project is a mobile-first platform that replaces traditional proof-of-work mining with a phone-based trust graph. It launched its externally connected mainnet in February 2025 and has about 19 million users and around 10 million new users. However, Bybit CEO Ben Zhou publicly refused to list the token, citing a 2023 warning from Chinese police alleging that it was a scam.
