Apopka mayoral candidate represented alleged Orlando crypto-fraudster in home sales

Apopka Commissioner Nick Nesta, the top finisher in the last week's mayoral election, has revealed that he had professional ties to Christopher Delgado, the former Orlando cryptocurrency CEO accused of running a massive Ponzi scheme. Nesta is a realtor and owner of Nesta Real Estate Consultants, but he claims he never invested any money with Delgado. Federal authorities allege that Delgado's company, Goliath Ventures, defrauded investors of at least $328 million and that he lived the high life on other people's money, including the purchase of four residential properties each worth between $1.15 million and $8.5 million. An Instagram post by Nesta's business shows it was involved in the sale of one of the four homes Delgado allegedly bought with others' money.
