FORECAST: Watching Wednesday for strong to severe storms

The weather forecast includes near-record highs in the 70s on Tuesday and a potential Alert Day for Wednesday with strong to severe storms. The weather will be mainly dry and quiet Tuesday night before storms are expected to hit Southern Indiana counties just before sunrise. The record high for Louisville is 78° set in 2009. The forecast also includes a windy Friday as a powerful system moves through the Great Lakes. The temperature will drop behind the cold front on Wednesday night, with temperatures expected to fall into the 30s by Thursday morning.
