The National Weather Service (NWS) has predicted that record-breaking temperatures could befall New Jersey, with a high temperature of 88 degrees predicted for Verona and Cedar Grove. The average temperature in April for New Jersey is in the mid-60s and the record highest temperature in Trenton for April 15 is 87 degrees. The NWS's local forecast includes a 20 percent chance of showers after 2pm, followed by a 30% chance of rain on Friday.
