Benet’s Giada McGlynn is a ‘big Lego person.’ As a goalkeeper, the 5-foot-3 senior definitely stacks up.

Benet's goalkeeper, Giada McGlynn, a senior at Benet High School, is a standout player and a standout in the team. She plans to study materials science and engineering at Illinois. Despite being short in stature for a goalkeeper, McGlynn has been a key player for the Redwings, leading them to their sixth consecutive East Suburban Catholic Conference championship last season. She also led the team to a 2-1 win over Glenbard West, but the team won 2-0. McGlynn's performance was highlighted by a successful stop against Glenbard W’s Lily Hubbuch during a game in the Wheaton North Kickoff Tournament at North Central College in Naperville.
