Isabella Tree and Charlie Burrell, a former 300-year-old farm in West Sussex, have been pioneering rewilding project at Knepp Estate, a 3,500-acre site that can trace its history back to King John. They decided to close the farm in 1999 and reintroduce wild animals to its natural state, allowing fields to revert to meadowland and drive habitat generation. The result, 25 years on, has resulted in significant biodiversity and increased wildlife, including breeding storks for the first time in 600 years. However, critics argue that reworshiping is a threat to food security and could lead to food shortages and food shortages. Tree's book, Wilding, has become the bible of the movement, with her husband describing the rewildness as a dream.
