The New York Yankees suffered their fourth consecutive loss to the Tampa Bay Rays, with a 5-4 defeat in extras. The team's infielder, Jazz Chisholm Jr., admitted he didn't know the double-play rule during the game's final innings. The Rays had the bases loaded with one out and Jonathan Aranda, one of the slowest runners in the game, was on the plate. Chishollm's misplay allowed Aranda to score the winning run. The Yankees are now 8-6 on the year after a 7-1 start and trailing the Rays by one game.
