Le Mans: The club backed by Novak Djokovic, Thibaut Courtois & Felipe Massa on brink of Ligue 1

Le Mans FC, a French football club backed by athletes such as Novak Djokovic, Thibaut Courtois & Felipe Massa, is on the verge of returning to Ligue 1. The club was previously relegated to the sixth tier of French football after bankruptcy in 2013. The Brazilian investors, OutField, brought in Djokov, Massa and Magnussen to help leverage the project from a branding perspective. The connection was also forged by Georgios Frangulis, the founder and CEO of Oakberry, now an investor at Le Mans.
