Power Rising Summit draws Kamala Harris and Juliana Stratton to harness the collective power of Black women

The Power Rising Summit, a national gathering of Black women, is set to take place in Chicago from Friday to Sunday. The summit's founder, Bishop Leah Daughtry, will speak at the Hilton Chicago, with speakers such as Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson, Illinois Lt. Gov. Juliana Stratton, and U.S. Rep. Yvette Clark (D-NY). The summit is also set to include former Vice President Kamala D. Harris and representatives from the National Council of Negro Women, Higher Heights for America PAC, Black Womens Roundtable, and Win with Black Women. Prior to the 2026 midterms, Power Rising has launched a campaign to register one million new voters and encourage people to check their voter registration status.
