Chicago sees record-breaking heat ahead of cold front Tuesday

The National Weather Service recorded a record-breaking 80 degrees at O’Hare Airport, surpassing the previous record set in 1986. However, a cold front is expected to hit the area on Tuesday, causing temperatures to plummet to a low of 37 degrees. Showers and thunderstorms are also possible for the rest of the week.
