Bari Weiss’ CBS News Unveils Major Cuts Amid Industry Shakeup

CBS News is reportedly laying off roughly 6% of its employees and shutting down its radio division, following the introduction of Bari Weiss as its editor-in-chief. This follows the dismissal of approximately 100 staffers when Weiss took over in October. The cuts were part of Paramount's layoffs of about 1,000 employees. In an internal note, Weiss and CBS News president Tom Cibrowski shared with the Daily Caller News Foundation, they stated that the news business is changing rapidly and that some parts of the newsroom must be smaller. The second note revealed that CBS News Radio will soon shut down after nearly 100 years.
