A 4Warn Weather Alert has been issued for Tuesday evening and overnight in Metro Detroit due to a strong storm system approaching the region. Severe thunderstorms are expected to develop late Tuesday night and continue into early Wednesday morning, with the strongest expected to be near the I-94 corridor. While Metro Detroit remains mild, the Tri-Cities and northern Thumb could see freezing rain late tonight, which could create slick roads by Wednesday morning. The strongest storm risk stretches from near M-59 and southward. The best way to receive weather warnings is to enable Wireless Emergency Alerts on your phone and keep it charged.
