Fargo native Elizabeth Chatelain and Concordia College alum Rich Sommer are set to be shown their movie, "Bigfoot Woods," at the Fargo Film Festival. The film follows the relationship between a dad and his child, Bridget, as they struggle with their gender identity. The inclusion of Bigfoot gives the movie an opportunity to engage in some magic realism. Sommer, a father of two children, hopes the film will inspire his children to find art that helps them navigate issues such as gender identity and find a positive light. The movie was inspired by the story written by father and son Bruce and Abel Pavalon, based on their own experiences.
