Wayne Vaught, Utah Valley University's provost, has been appointed as acting president following Astrid Tuminez's decision to step down. This comes nearly six months after Charlie Kirk's assassination on campus heightened scrutiny of the university's security protocols. The interim role is set to begin on May 1.
