Apple has announced that Stolen Device Protection will be enabled by default for enterprise devices updating from iOS 26.4.1 to iOS 26., and from iPadOS 26.3.1. Both versions of iOS and iPadOS are now being updated with additional security requirements. The feature, originally launched in 2024, adds extra security layers to sensitive actions when an iPhone is away from familiar locations and introduces a delay for certain high-risk changes to prevent unauthorized access. This move follows Apple's decision to enable Stolen Devices Protection by default on non-enterprise devices on iOS26.4 and follows a period of increased security measures following the discovery of Coruna and DarkSword exploits.
