Jennifer Roggi, a Vernon Math Teacher, has won the State ATOMIC Award for her commitment to students, mentoring other teachers, helping build students' numerical fluency, problem solving, creativity, reasoning and working with colleagues to improve math skills for students. The award was given to her dedication, commitment, dedication, and commitment to improving math education. Megan Staples, an associate professor in UConn’s Neag School of Education, praised Roggi's efforts and dedication to the classroom and the wider school community. She also commended her efforts to improve the systems that organize math education, whether at the school, district or state level.
