Terrion Arnold, a 24-year-old defensive back facing felony charges of armed robbery and kidnapping, has been released by the Lions following his arrest. Despite the loss, Lions head coach Dan Campbell stated that releasing Arnold was essential for the team's success. Arnold is currently out on a $1 million bond and is subject to home confinement, allowing him to train with another team if picked up. The release could create a strong competition for the second cornerback spot, with current players Ennis Rakestraw Jr., Rock Ya-Sin, Khalil Dorsey, Nick Whiteside and Roger McCreary competing for the starting spot. Four teams, including the Indianapolis Colts, New York Jets, Seattle Seahawks and Houston Texans, had offered Arnold free.
