A lawsuit involving the families of 18-year-old students killed in a fiery crash involving a Tesla Model S nearly eight years ago has been resolved. Potential jurors were sent home around 1:30 p.m. after the judge announced that the families had resolved the matter. The case stemmed from a crash that killed 18-years-old Edgson Monserratt Martinez and Barrett Riley, who were driving at 116 mph in a 30-mph zone when Riley crashed into a wall. In the previous case, Riley's parents claimed that Tesla designed the defective batteries that led to the fire.
