Vegas Golden Knights fire Bruce Cassidy, name John Tortorella as new head coach

The Vegas Golden Knights have replaced Bruce Cassidy as their head coach, with John Tortorella being named as their new permanent replacement. Tortorello, who has served in the NHL for a total of 23 seasons, previously led the Columbus Blue Jackets to its first-ever second-round appearance in the Stanley Cup Playoffs. The Golden Knights were on a three-game losing streak after a loss to the Washington Capitals.
