Brockton double murder suspect captured in Mexico to appear in court

Davinci Leonard, a 23-year-old man accused of murdering two people in Brockton, Massachusetts, in 2025, will be charged with two counts of murder and one count each of discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a dwelling, carrying a loaded firearm without a license, and carrying ammunition without an FID card. He was captured in Mexico on February 12 after evading Massachusetts for nearly a year. The charges stem from an altercation outside a Chipotle restaurant and allegedly shooting and killing 18-year old Cevannah Alvarez and a 15-years-old Tymari Albertson during a fight in 2025.
