The President of the Democratic Party of the United States (DPA) has called for early publication of proposed zones in order to help alleviate the shortage of affordable housing units in the island. Deputy Inder argues that much of the land suggested for housing will not be available for purchase, as it is not a profitable model for commercial development. He also believes that there is an imbalance in the value of constructible land compared to what landowners believe.
