Rap mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs is set to be released from a federal prison in New Jersey a month and a half earlier than expected due to entering a rehab program last year. Combs was convicted of violations of the Mann Act and was sentenced to 50 months in prison instead of the time served sentence prosecutors were seeking. His release date has been updated to April 25, 2028, which is five weeks forward from the original date of June 4 of the same year. This is the latest date change for Combs since his original May date was moved from May to June. His attorney, Teny Geragos, may have moved on to another case involving a famous, imprisoned New Yorker, pending a decision on whether to take a plea deal or face a retrial on a New York rape case.
