Sublime is set to release its first new album, Until the Sun Explodes, on June 12. The album was performed by Jakob Nowell, the late Bradley Nowell’s son, alongside original members Eric Wilson on bass and Bud Gaugh on drums. Nowell compared the album to his own self-titled self-produced music under the name Jakobs Castle and expressed his desire to stay out of the "true process of Sublime," chasing the wild, craziness in the creative process. The opening track and lead single "Ensenada" dominated Billboard's Alternative Airplay chart for two months straight last year, holding the No 1 spot longer than any other song on that chart in 2025. The lead single and video for the album was released today.
