Electric truck company Rivian has surpassed quarterly delivery estimates for 10,365 vehicles in January and March, surpassing estimates of 9,678. The company also reiterated its full-year forecast of 62,000 to 67,000 vehicles. This is seen as a boost for companies like Rivian and Tesla, which had seen a decrease in sales in December after a $7,500 U.S. federal EV tax credit expired in September, pushing up prices and removing an incentive that had long attracted buyers. The higher volumes are expected to bolster Rivian's sales ahead of its new cheaper R2 model, which is expected to launch next year.
