NBC will not air a live program to compete with Stephen Colbert's final night of hosting CBS's "The Late Show" on May 21, when he ends his 11-year run. This decision was made by TV executives as a financial decision, despite President Trump's efforts to pressure networks critical of him and his administration. Both Fallon and Kimmel are reportedly stepping aside to allow Colbert to enjoy the spotlight. Anna M. Gomez, the sole Democratic commissioner on the FCC, has warned ABC's parent company, Disney, that it is being targeted by the commission.
