Exclusive poll: Here are the concerns about data centers

A new Harvard/MIT poll has found that public resistance to data centers is not as much as electricity prices as it is about how the projects might impact communities. The poll, which surveyed 1,000 people, found that about 40% of respondents supported data centers in their areas, with 32% opposed. The survey also found that two-thirds of respondents said a data center would lead local electricity prices to rise. The study could influence developers' plans to build more data centers to meet AI's massive electricity demands.
