Major drug trafficking ring with ties to 3 Northern California counties is dismantled

Authorities have dismantled a major drug trafficking organization based in Sacramento, Stanislaus, and Calaveras, California. Approximately 2,700 pounds of methamphetamine were seized, along with 1,900 marijuana plants, 107 pounds of marijuana, and 12 firearms. Eight people were taken into federal custody, including one on a national terrorist watch list. The arrests were part of a five-month investigation.
