Umpire CB Bucknor had six calls challenged during a game against the Red Sox, which ended in a 6-5, 11-inning loss. The calls were overturned on back-to-back pitches by Reds third baseman Eugenio Suarez, who successfully challenged consecutive strike-three calls in the sixth inning. Despite these challenges, both pitches were deemed balls by the Automated Ball-Strike System (ABS). The incident led to a heated exchange between Boston and the Reds, with Boston's skipper Alex Cora and third base coach Jose Flores exchanging heated exchanges. The Red Sox eventually lost the game on a walk-off single by Reds center fielder Dane Myers in the 11th inning.
