Olivia Burgos, an Indiana woman, is accused of lying about the purchase of a gun used to kill Chicago police officer John Bartholomew and wound another officer. Burgos told investigators that she bought the gun for her boyfriend, who was a convicted felon, and he gave her the money to buy it. It is unclear how the suspect, Alphanso Talley, ended up with the gun or how he acquired it. Similar charges were also filed after the murder of Chicago police Officer Ella French.
