Ali Larijani, Iran's top security chief, was killed in airstrikes. He was seen as a central figure in Iran's response to the U.S.-Israeli attacks that began on Feb. 28, 2026, and was named secretary of the Supreme National Security Council in charge of Iran’s nuclear policy. This interview was Larijoni's last on-camera interview with an American news outlet before he was killed. The main concern was that the U., Israel, was acting as a puppet for the Zionist regime during negotiations regarding Iran's nuclear program. Lijani also commented on the timing of these strikes and claims that Iran is not developing nuclear weapons.
