Anchorage election certified, new names sworn in

The Anchorage Assembly has certified the 2026 municipal election and installed new leadership. West Anchorage representative Anna Brawley was unanimously elected to serve as the new Assembly Chair, taking over for Christopher Constant who was term limited. Daniel Volland, who represents downtown or North Anchorage, will serve as vice chair. Janice Park won the midtown seat after an automatic recount of election results.
