Cooler Friday for Omaha area, possible weekend snow

The weather in the Omaha area is expected to be cooler than expected for the weekend, with temperatures expected to drop into the 40S and lower 50S for the area. The weather leader, OMAHA’s Meteorologist, and METEOROLOGIST CAITLIN HARVEY have been monitoring the weather for a few hours. The forecast includes a potential weekend snowfall, with winds and potentially damaging winds forecast. A Winter Stormm Watch has been issued for parts of EASTERN NEBRASKA, WESTERN IOWA, and a potential 1-3IN of snowfall expected. The National Weather Center in New York has issued a Weather Alert for the North and South America.
