Oklahoma lawmakers have recognized the work of the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation Cold Case Unit (OSBI), which has helped solve 98 cases since its creation in 2018. The recognition highlighted the unit's ongoing efforts to revisit unsolved homicides and missing persons cases across the state. State Representative Carl Newton praised the team's work, which has provided closure for families and improved public safety. Despite this progress, over 400 cold case homicides and dozens of missing and unidentified person cases remain under review. The OSBI operates under the motto “Never Forgotten” and officials continue to encourage anyone with information about unsolved cases to contact them.
