Judge Grants Harvey Weinstein’s Bid for Mistrial

The New York judge overseeing the sex crimes trial of Harvey Weinstein has declared a mistrial after jurors remained deadlocked for three days. The mistrial is pending a decision on whether to proceed with a retrial on a charge of the third-degree rape of Jessica Mann. If convicted, Weinstein could face a sentence of up to four years. He has already served more time in prison than the charge carries, and is yet to be sentenced for the sexual assault charge he was convicted in New York.
