Patel stated that the industry is "asking you to own nothing and be happy," suggesting that the cloud will win every time. The company has issued price increases for its RAM and storage components recently, including those of SSDs of 4TB or higher. The current war in Iran is further negatively affecting PC makers' prospects. The entire PC industry, save for HP, saw strong growth year-over-year but analysts fear this could change. The cost of consumer-end DRAM and NAND flash storage has become increasingly untenable, with many components, from RAM to SSDs to GPUs, increasing prices.
