Alberto Barbera Renewed As Artistic Director Of Venice Film Festival For 2027 & 2028

The Venice Film Festival's Artistic Director, Alberto Barbera, has been renewed for 2027 and 2028. His current mandate expires after this year's 83rd edition of the festival. The board of directors, chaired by Pietrangelo Buttafuoco, approved the appointment based on Barber's achievements in discovering and launching new talents on the international stage. The renewal was made in recognition of Barber's contributions to the festival and its evolution.
