Goldie Hawn has co-written a children's book, "The After-School Kindness Crew," with veteran author Lin Oliver. The book follows the story of three different fourth-grade students who become friends and find a loving home for a shelter dog. Hawn, who supports MindUP, a mental health program that teaches children about their brains and how to regulate their emotions through "brain breaks," is confident that these books will not necessarily teach empathy. The first in a series Hawn is working on with Oliver, who praised their collaboration. The books, which feature elements of MindUP like “brain breaks”, are available for preorder on May 5.
