Appeal hearings begin in ex-South Korea President Yoon's obstruction case

The first hearing of the case began at the Seoul High Court on obstruction of justice and other charges related to his attempt to impose a strict version of the law. Prosecutors, who had sought a 10-year term for Yoon, argued that the five-year sentence was too lenient given that Yoon had shown no remorse and offered no apology. The appeals trial comes after Yoon was sentenced to life in prison for leading an insurrection during his tenure as president.
